I'm trying to up the hard-drive size of my soft-moded xbox up to 80GBs, ran into a little bit of trouble along the way.

Alright, I've ran the Splinter Cell exploit, and I had UnleashX loaded as my dashboard. I proceeded to unlock my hard-drive, but not before I grabbed the hard-drive information (including keys).

Now, whenever I try to run any applications (even the linux hd one, and the xbox driver hard-drive one) none of them work, and now I'm sitting with a unlocked hard-drive that won't boot into my xbox.

I'm wondering, if I relocked my hard-drive, inserted it in my xbox, FTPed the C and E drives to my PC, put in my new 80GB hard-drive, then proceeded to partition it and copy the C and E drives over, then locked it, then threw it in my xbox - if that would work.

You have to use xbhdm to prepare your new HD.

first, relock your old HD. Then FTP your eeprom over to your PC and also your Retail C drive (from your backup or slayers).

download xbhdm (should be in the usual place), and extrect it somewhere. Put your C drive files into \linux\C\ and the eeprom into \linux\eeprom\ then create an ISO of that (there's a batch file in the xbhdm folder, use that one). Then burn this disk onto A CD-R and put it into your CD/DVD drive of your PC. Turn the PC off, and plug in your 80 Gb drive as primary master (better unplug your PCs harddrive just to avoid formating the wrong drive) Then create a HD from scratch it should format the drive correctly and copy over the Retail C files, making it a larger stock drive (unmodded). You then have to lock it using xbhdm. Since your eeprom is on the disk, too,, it should use that one to lock it. You can then insert the drive into your xbox. Now it would be in an unmodded state, so you'd have to transfer the exploits over again and run them.

You could also put the exploit on the Xboxhdm disk instead of using the stock files if you want as well. That way the new drive is already setup with the exploit so you don't have to do it again.
That's how I do it anyway.
