Brasso works on the letters too. Use Q-Tips to get into there, toothpics work also.

Just use Oops! it will take off the silver text paint in seconds, but it wont take off the green paint. That makes a cool effect with just the text cleared perfectly.

Yea, thanks for that... After I soaked my jewel in Oops for hours on end, then rubbing for 20 minutes, then soaking... My half cleared jewel looks funny. Now I'm sanding the bitch with some rough sandpaper and will buff it later! biggrin.gif Maybe I'll buy a custom one...

Oops does work great on the silver, though! biggrin.gif

Ya, brasso takes about an hour, and yes, you put some on a rag and rub, then put more on and keep rubbing, etc. I'm not sure what to do for the text though.

I'm not sure, as I haven't done this, but I've heard people had success filling the xbox letters in with hotglue then freezing. Pulling the glue out after it's been in the freezer for a while should take the paint with it.

But I dunno, I haven't tried it.

to remove the letters, use (NOT FUME FREE) easy off oven cleaner. works wonders on the while jewel, makes it totally clear. personally, the chrome lettering looks awesome with a blank jewel.

Ooops worked very nicely for me. I just put some one a rag and dabbed it on and rubbed it for like a minute. I was trying to clear the whole jewel but i whipped it clean to my surprise only the silver paint was gone, i mean completely gone no trace of it at all. Then i just sanded the rest of it. Using Brasso is just a slower version of sanding it. tongue.gif
