Ok I had a 1.0 UXE Exploited xbox, but I decided to TSOP it so I can use that xbox to make HDs, lock/unlock things and I can put unlocked HDs in it.

I have x2 4981.06 bios on it (btw not sure what difference between 4981.06 and 4981.80, or whatever that last number is on the other one) and I can't get the xbox dash to work.

I know UXE placed all of xbox dash files besides xboxdash.xbe in another folder on E I believe. I'm wondering if all I have to do is link to it and load it up from E or do I have to get the xboxdash.xbe patched or something?

Also, since I have 4981 on my tsop flash, then is it ok for me to delete all of my UXE files, NKPatcher and boot loaders and what not? I used waffletools btw.

I figured out what the .06 and .67 mean so disregard that.

I just need to know what to do with my UXE files and how to configure the xbox dashboard to work.

Put in slayer's disc and ftp into your box. You can check the location of each dash or install new ones(evox, avalaunch, xbmc, etc.). You can also specify the location of the dash you want to use in the bios using XBTool. I'd make sure where everything is, or install what you need using slayer's then go from there.

EDIT: And yes, once your to the dash you want and everything is OK, you can delete the softmod files(ndure, nkpatcher, etc.)

Hope this helps,

hmm...

Maybe the retail dash is corrupted. You can try restoring from a backup or use the C: on slayers.

I had the same problem with a softmod(ndure) after trying to go on Live!, it updated the dash which froze on bootup after that. I had to uninstall the softmod, downgrade the dash, and run update the dash with a Live! game. THEN re-install the softmod.

I hope you don't have to do this, as it is a time-consuming pain. But it is an option.

ahh ok, well, if u have x2 bios, does the xboxdash have to be hacked/patched or can it be default dash?

Either way Ill use slayers

And I guess since I have bios and can boot from a CD/DVD if I fuck anything up, then I can delete my UXE

Yeah, retail dash(not patched or anything) should work even with x2 bios. It's actually default if it can't find any other dashes. And yep, you could delete everything and start over since you can always load slayers(wouldn't recommend it, but sh*t happens smile.gif )
