Just recently, my AV cable connector wanted to start dying on me to piss me off. My Xbox now only works with component cables. If I hook up composite or my RF modulator, I can hear audio, but no video. I tested both cables with another Xbox, and they are working fine, so I know it's my Xbox. Is there any way to fix this?

I did a google search and actually fixed my problem. No doubt, google directed me to a post on these great forums.

It turns out many, many people were having this exact same problem where if hooked up to component or S-Video, it would work fine. When connected to Composite or RF Modulator, you would get audio and no video. There is a fuse on the motherboard that usually dies. In my case, it was completely gone, most likely from yesterdays dual hard drive mod and trying to shove everything in the case. A wire was all I needed and my problem is fixed. If anybody else is having this problem, check that link, it will show you where the fuse is. Ah, google and xbox-scene, who doesn't love you? (Micro$oft and Micro$oft)
