Yeh good tut even i could follow it tongue.gif

Some1 please let me know when theres a tut for a wireless original xbox controller.

Would be much nicer than those aftermarket ones.

Am i mistaken i nthinking thatsa banksy piece in your signature? anyway I believe the sameidea as in my tutorialwould apply for that of a wireless xbox controller original. just try and match colour for colour.

this may be the dumbest question ive asked yet, but you learn buy asking right?
so, if i say hardwire it into port umm lets say 3 i would lose the ability to plug a wired controler into it right?  and if it is in port 3 i asume it would still work as the 1st player controler for single player games, right.?
*

You dont haveto lose the abillity to plug a controller into the port, some here have suggested using a switch ot keep the port. also the xbox willpick up whatever controller you use first as the first player so yes. dont be afraid to ask questions.

If you follow my tutorial and snip the cables from your controller then no you wouldnt be able toplug a wired controller in.

Your not mistaken it sure is a banksy piece.

I would have no idea how to go about adding a switch or a form of overide, i would want a wireless original xbox controller but the capability of using a normal one if needs be.

Just patch the wireless controller into the stock wires, and get a spdt switch to switch the 5v wire between the two.

Um na, you dont.. It's easy.. Just put a switch on the red wire.. One side powers the plugged in controller other side powers the wireless.. Super simple.

to wifi----1 2 3-----to wired

2 to redwire

Whats wrong with just using them both in parrallel? if it still transmits signals even though a wired controller is plugged in would that matter?

and if it receives while one is plugged in what would happen? can anyone do some experiments......

I think its all TTL logic so its not like you'll blow it up wink.gif

Very nice tut. One idea as well:

Couldn't you solder the original wires into the memory card port on the wireless adapter? That way it would go straight through. The only downside is that you can't use a light gun with it.

I suppose you could solder the ground to the memorycard adapter but I don't know in honesty. I ended up attaching them to the ground cable coming of of the HD to make the whole thing cleaner but you could try it your way,let us know.

and again for those that try this mod Id love to hear how well it goes for you and what kind of reception quality you get

I did this mod with my Mad Catz Wireless one and it works just fine. The reception is just as good as before. Now I just have to add a swith to the red wire so I can still use #3 when I want to use the wired one.

Thanks for the info man it helped a lot.
