I just switched my reg Xbox case with my friends clear case. After a few problems the switch went fine. The clear one works great. The other worked fine at first. I hooked it all up and plugged it in without the top just make sure it all worked. Everyting was fine. I put the lid on and now no power. No anything. I can hear a hum coming from the power supply and I checked the connection from the power button assembly to the mother board and everything looks fine. Anyone ave any advice?

Most likely it is a 1.6 mobo in a pre-1.6 case, in which case, there is a small transistor you will need to replace.

First determine that it is a 1.6 mobo. If so, to determine if it is bad, you will need a multimeter. If you don't have a multimeter, you can pretty much assume that is the problem, cause you have all the symptoms of it.
