tried looking to see if anyone discussed this but couldnt find anything. Can you use a usb wireless stick instead of buying the xbox 360 wireless usb adaptor? they are cheaper than the official accessory. thanks if anyone knows.

Yes they are much cheaper, no you can't used them with the x360. It will be blocked so you are forced to buy the official one.

You can also use a wireless bridge... That would be my recommendation since you could use it on anything (PS3, 360, and any other future console).

i will never use a usb stick in the back for one reason ill always be paranoid that the console will tip over and lean on the stick and something will break. just like when they wanted to put my lcd tv on the edge of my old normal stand. (i have problems) lol

I just installed a Linksys WET54G5S which is a wireless bridge & 5 port switch. It is the best thing since sliced bread, as it will allow you to connect wirelessly with up to 5 things at once. (i.e. xbox, x360, ps2 & for the 2-3 poeple that use it...gamecube!) That way, you will not have to unhook one system to hook up another! It may be a little more than the xbox wireless adapter or other wireless bridge, but well worth the price!

I haven't seen that one.. I've been running my bridge into a seperate switch and then out to my stuff (xbox, mp3 streamer, Tivo, etc).

If you can... what I would do is move your router closer and connected your xbox 360 to a good old rj-45 (ethernet cable) You can get 100mbs that way. Save the wifi for you PC. Thats what I'm gong to do.

Actually that doesn't matter. The bottleneck will still be your PC.

It should work with anything! It's just a wireless bridge. smile.gif
