The things they revamped more are things like how far you can see, polys that make up the snow terrain, the trees, and the character models. Things like rocks still look iffy and current gen, but I think it looks nice for a snowboarding game - seeing everything in sight would kinda freak you out when you're on the mountain looking down. Like so:

It looks like they are finally putting to work the lighting crew. All previous pix just didn't seem to have any lighting work done. Even though it's sunny out it needs lighting work damnit

graphics-wise, it looks really slick. i'm a huge amped and amped 2 fan...so much that i beat the latter twice.
i'm not sure if i'll like this one as much as the other two just because of the shift in direction, but i'm still going to check it out since it's going to offer so much. and as long as they didn't strip it of all realism (which it doesn't look like they have), amped 3 will surely be a fun game.

Well...from what I've seen in the videos, the presentation/overall feel of the game is (obviously) very different...but...I think what made Amped 1 & 2 such great games is still intact. This is coming from someone who loves the sport of snowboarding and who doesn't want to see it butchered into arcade-style game.
I don't care what anyone else says; I'm picking this game up when it comes out, and it's going to be awesome.
