I asked to speak with a manager, and he told me that the one that I preordered from will only have 5 CONFIRMED for November 22nd, which doesn't mean they wont recieve more, but thats all they know that they are getting in the GameStop in Worcester MA.

So I asked him how they are planning on handling the 360 launch, to which he said, "We will be selling them in the order that they were preordered."

Which I guess I was lucky because my friend was #1 and I am #2 on the list ;P

This is a repost take it down. Gamtstop knows how many there getting it will be more than 5. If you didnt preorder early enough, get ready to wait in line 12 hours.

They told me tonight that they don't know how many they're getting.

I've asked just about every store in my area about how many they're getting and I get the same answer at every store "We don't know yet, MS said they will have official allocation numbers about a week before launch"

Not to mention one of the people telling me this was a friend of mine who is the Manger of an EB and an avid Xbox gamer...

IMO if someone tells you they know they know their allocation they're probably lying to you just to watch you squirm.

well, i know my burlington, MA gamestop will have one for me at midnight on the 21st, so regardless of how many or how few they get, i'll be happy

Went to Gamestop and got put on the waiting list. Said they were getting in 55, also said there gettting 3 shipments, so i dont' know if thats 55x3 or 55/3. Also went to Rhinotech games, guy wouldn't tell me how many 360s they were getting, but did say there were getting some in.

Also how could gamestop have a folder with all the people getting theres on first shipment my name is one there! and not at least know the least amount there getting your post is bullshit mods please close topic double post. Also Ive preordered my last two systems through gamestop and they came through both times on launch.

Deadpool I work for a Gamestop in Ny and they seriously do not have ANY clue as to how many they are getting. I've even spoken to the district manager about it and have gotten nothing out of him. Considering my store has 100 something reserves and a lot of crazy New Yorkers I am not expecting this to go well . Originally we did get a estimate that we would get 70 boxes, but that info was retracted so I don't know wtf.
The truth is that even the amount of shipments other Gamestop's are telling you may be false. Everyone who reserved it will get it sooner than later compared to those who didn't. So you guys still got nothing to worry about

gamestop, or anyother store will STOP selling prepays once they have notice of ho wmany they are getting.
for example, i was in my gamestop a long tiem ago and when i asked the guy if he had anymore prepays left for them he told me no. i asked why? he said becasue we were given only 15 slots to order...when we heard otherwise we will give u a call. i got a call a few weeks later but ignored it.

my fiance on the other hand walks into hangstop in another town and placed an order on it.

she works in the mall, im sure they will give it to her on lauch if shes working.

i think its a media trick. telling people there is an uncertain amount raises the desire for them - people will go crazy for them. once they are released, im sure that there will be plenty.

I dont know how they can say they dont know but at my local gamestop they have list of people that are getting theres on first shipment second and third i was told by two employees Im on first shipment even says so in the folder next to my name. Mayby they know the minimum amount there getting ill ask tommorow when i go to add wireless network adpater to my preorder.

Ok got some info from gamestop mngr for everyone. They know how many there getting but wont say till the 7th this should be all stores so start asking on the 7th. Also I mentioned that I heard some stores were only getting 5 and he grimmaced but did not deny this he said depends on the store. So Im sorry for doubting you about some stores only getting 5 but once again he confirmed me for shipment and told me to show at 11:30 on the 21st. Said it was going to be tight and there will also be a shortage of wireless controllers so dont forget to preorder a second one guys.

well when i went to pre-order mine about three weeks ago i went to the local gamestop and they said they had stopped taking pre-orders the day before, and for some reason i despise eb games i dont know why but i do, but i went there anyways to preorder one and they were still allowing pre-orders, and from the things i have been reading about different shipments im probably screwed until the 2nd or 3rd shipment, cause i was already near the bottom of the list for the 2nd he said. shouldnt have waited so long i guess.
