You need:

1x XBox case
1x XBox hard drive (lockable)
1x XBox DVD Drive
1x XBox development team to do everything that you won't be able to do
2x Controller pads (because life sucks with jus the one)
1x TV (duh)
1x Magic wand, when the XBox development team isn't available...

...It's pretty much impossible to build an XBox from scratch. Read into it all a bit more; there are a lot of things that are deemed impossible at the moment (IE slamming in any old hard drive without giving a damn about the signature), because Microshaft have actually built the thing pretty well.

The simple answer is that you can't. Sure, you could scrape together a preassembled Xbox mobo, a HDD, and DVD, but it would be way more trouble than it's worth to get them working together.

The prices keep dropping. Just save up some money and buy a real one.

I just bought a new one today for £99 at ASDA Walmart with a years subscription to Live included. I'm still all giddy about it. tongue.gif

The most important thing you need is working human brain that has the ability to research something and think logically, ask pertinent and key questions in the right place and at the right time.
Unfortunately you can't buy one of these so you are stuck at the first hurdle really.
Just buy an Xbox and forget the daft questions
