i got gigabytes latest 533mhz fsb board that sinxp1394, and i was wondering if you think i could get support for the new cpus or what would be the cheapest alternative? Thanks

You can get support for newer CPUs (most likely) with a BIOS update.. but you won't be able to run at 800Mhz..

Because the FSB simply cannot push data that fast... it's not like it's upgradeable, like RAM. If you REALLY need to be bleeding edge, buy a new MoBo that moves that fast.

Well, wait, I forgot, since you're talented enough to transplant the XBox's CPU to a normal MoBo, you'd have enough knowlege to uprgrade the FSB, right? laugh.gif

is there any other way then buying a new mobo? like buying a new chipset(if i did i have no fucking clue how to put it on, cuz it looks like its soldered, correct me if im wrong) cuz i REALLY need this update, cuz when i oc mine it should be at like 1.0 ghz fsb at least

Hey, if you can unsolder an Xbox CPU, this should be easy.
