When asking for help with softmods, remember:

* A softmod is NOT something you download and run on a whim. It demands the same respect and proper attention to care and maintenance as installing a chip, just in different ways.

* A complete softmod is built out of 3 things:
- the exploit
- the bios loader or kernel patcher
- a dashboard

* Mechassault, 007: Agent Under Fire and Spinter Cell are NOT softmods. They're exploitable games used to launch an exploit package.

* UnleashX, Evox, etc. are NOT softmods. They're dashboards installed by a exploit package.

* "Run Linux" et all are NOT softmods. They're gamesaves exploited by loading them in game, launching unsigned code (an exploit package, etc.).

So, please remember:

Your softmod is most likely ndure, UXE, or something older like UDE. When in doubt, check the softmod forums or ask whomever installed the mod.
