Hi all,

I just bought a new Xbox, this month. I saw the softmod tutorial, bought the xbox to usb cable. Initially my xbox gave me the msg that my memory unit was damaged. So, I formated the usb and put it to my Xbox ....voila....I get a msg on my Xbox that the memory unit has been erased which means to say that it had been formatted.

Now I took my usb, installed AR software (once old and the updated spftware in the official site).....I get it to load the files splinter cell present in softmod installer deluxe to the memcard.

I just wanted to test whether the save was successful.

I plugged my memcard (usb) to the Xbox.............immediately it said that it had erased. I dont know y is it erasing? CAn anyone tell me what is to be done?

thats what happens when the USB mem stick is not usable in a xbox
try a different one

one quick test is to save a game to it from the xbox
unplug it, plug it back in and see if it gets erased sad.gif

Sir,

I am a noob. Could you pls tell me how to save a game. I tried but the only option given to me is delete. I even tried saving while playing a game. But it goes to the default without even prompting me

If you plug in your usb cable and it says : your memcard has been erased. Go to your xbox in te memory menu. CHoose a savegame, press A. Choos copy and you should see the memcard to save it to. CHeck if the savegame is on the memcard. IF it is pull the usb out and plug it back in. If it says that it has been erased again you need a different usb storage device.
