I also get error 64 after I see the xbox 360 logo go up. I was watching a dvd on it and it kept stopping and I finally rebooted it and I havent been able to do anything since. This is ridiculous for on the first day to have so many problems like this. Even before this happened I was saying that they should wait until they could meet at least half the demand, not to mention testing their product before shipping. I now see that these problems have been wide spread and MS will lose customers because of it.

I'd personally go get a refund, and just wait until a more reliable version is released.

From the looks of it, MOST of them are defective.

Everybody I know that has one has some kind of issue that prevents them from playing games.

I dont know if I should believe all the ppl who post a msg having a problem with their x360, it is a little strange to me, because I hope ms did some testing before starting mass production, this means xbox360 is pretty fucked and you should wait till 2006 before getting yours, Or those ppl are posting those msges to prevent ppl buying one to make sure they are getting theirs or maybe sony fanboys , who knows blink.gif

I think the people with out problems (the majority) are too busy playing games and watching movies to come on here and talk about how bug free their console is rolleyes.gif

I know 10 or so people personally who got 360s... none of them have any problems at all. I haven't had a single problem with my unit.

If you consider the number of people on these forums who got 360 the number of people who are actually claiming problems is relatively low.

that's the thing.. only people who ever report here are the ones that have problems, not the ones that don't have problems. there's at best 20, 30 people actually having issues.. out of hundreds of thousands machines sold.

That is still quite disturbing to me.
I was planning on getting one (aqnd may still do so) but I'm going to wait for one of two events first:
people start breaking them (so I can start fixing them), or Halo3.

Sorry about your 360, Zhaus. Personally, I had a 360 come with a cracked faceplate, and had called EB. After a few minutes of arguing back and fourth they had someone higher up then that actual store call me. At this point he had said he would put my name on the list for the next batch of 360s and then call me in to exchange it. Hopefully you'll be able to get something similair done with your machine.

Most? That would be more then a 50% chance of bringing home a defective console. I doubt it's even 5%. If the ratio was as big as you think it is all over the news there would be headlines of "$400 For A Red Glowing Box" instead of "360 Launches and the Lines Are Huge!!"

bad headlines, but I'm sure you get the point.
