I've read around and it seems the only Xbox V1.6 live blocking bios is the Metoo Evox M8+ (with the exception of the X3). I also read that this metoo bios will not work on my Aladdin Xt. Basicly that means I am not live protected, and while in modded mode I can be banned.
So I was wondering if I put in a password on my Live settings, will that stop games from logging in on their own, while I'm in modded mode? Thanks, Jason This post has been edited by xboxjason: Dec 4 2005, 07:01 PM |

The BIOS section on the main page hasn't been updated in a rather long time. Xecuter2.5035 will block Live for you, as well as do other cool stuff. You just need to have 512 KB free to flash to. And remember to transfer the x2config.ini file to the root of E:. Before doing that, you may want to use X2ConfigMaker to customize the ini for your needs. It can be changed easily and re-transferred so you won't have to reflash every time you want to change something.
Also, if you want LBA48 support you will need to use X2ool to patch the .bin file for it. |

Thanks for the reply.
This bios sounds like it's close to what iND-5003 does. So this X2-5035 is compatible with my Aladdin XT modchip? Also whats the LBA48 support for? Thanks, Jason |

So this X2-5035 is compatible with my Aladdin XT modchip? Also whats the LBA48 support for? I am fairly certain that the Aladdin XT only has a 256kb eeprom, so you can't use X2-5035. However, you can use X2-4983 (it is 256kb and has Live blocking). LBA48 refers to support for hard drives larger than 137gb - the bios you use usually needs to be patched to choose the type of LBA48 you want ie. all space assigned to F or F up to 137gb ang G beyond that. |

So the X2-4983 bios has live blocking, and will operate on an aladdin modchip installed in a version 1.6 Xbox? Again, my goal is to use a Live blocking bios that works on an aladdin modchip, used in a Xbox V1.6. Also yes it would have to be LBA48 (since the Xbox is getting a 250gig). If worse comes to worse, I guess the aladdin Xt isn't going to cut it, so I'd have to get a better modchip (seeing half the bioses out there apparently don't work on this chip ~Jason |

That's true. I just can't believe there isn't a 1.6 bios that has live blocking that will work on an Aladdin Xt... I guess I'm just not going to be buying anymore aladdins.
What would it take to patch a Evox M8+ 16 bios to have live blocking, because that's the bios currently on the aladdin xt. ~Jason |
