OK here's a few more collaborated tips that help cooling, ect.1. Place a strip of clear packing tape over the top of the CPU heatsink fins, but not down the sides. This keeps air that the front fan blows in from being blown out the top of the heatsink and staying in the case.
2. It's highly suggested that you DO NOT run anything aside from a few LEDS from the DVD 12v source. Instead use the 12v, or 5v from any of the other spots shown in this link.
Other Sources of Power3. Below is a schematic for a fan controller. This allows you to manually set the speed of your fans based on Xbox activity, air temp, ect..

LM317T Voltage regulator
R1: 1K Ohm Resistor
R2: 10K Ohm Rheostat
C1: 100nF Ceramic Capacitor
C2: 1uF Polarized Aluminum or Tantalum Capacitor
IC Heatsink
PCB board
1. Construct the circuit as above. Remember, take note of the LM317T, the middle pin from the picture above is the first pin of the IC, so dont mix up them.
2. Place a heat sink for the LM317T, because it will generate a lot of heat. More heat will be produce if your fan is running at lower speed, because less voltage will be needed by the fan, therefore the extra voltage will be wasted in heat form. Remember use some thermal paste to max the conduction between them.
3. Input connects to power supply, 12v DC voltage. Output connects to fan. (red or yellow wires are positive, black wire is negative)

Ok!

thanks for the link ! I read the 12V stuff new issue is.
1. XCM fan kit has 4 wires coming out of the unit, 1 red 1 yellow 2 blacks. Now I think the 2 blacks are grounds and the red and yellow are powers. So I was think of just making clips for the wires, and pluging then in to power for the old fan plug ? IS THIS RIGHT OR AM I WRONG ABOUT THE WIRES?
Do's any one know or have a brake down on what is the power, and that are the grounds in the old fan plug on the MB ?
2. The XCM chameleon 2. Wires off this unite 1.red 1.black is this unite 5V or 12v ?

On that, XCM fan kit, the black wires are grounds and the yellow and red are each a lead to the fans. So you're right about the wires.

My first picture on the 1st page of this topic shows/tells which wire on the origional plug was power and which was ground. The black and blue wires are ground, and the red and brown wires are power.
