I have searched everywhere as to how to flash the bios of my Aladdin XT advance mod chip. The reason I believe I need to is because my chip only recognizes 137 GB of my 250 GB HD. When I installed everything, I made sure I installed everything correctly, using the LARGE HD option, and the G: drive option. My box has the G: drive, but it has 0KB available. This makes me think the bios or the chip isn't able to detect the rest of my HD. I believe that once you get on most dashboards, on the BIOS: line, it gives the name of the bios. On mine it says UNKNOWN. And I don't know if I've been doing it right, but I've tried flashing the bios with several different programs, but they always come up with an error: !!UNKNOWN FLASH TYPE!!

If anyone here has any ideas, or has more knowledge about this kind of thing than I do (Which wouldn't be hard) uhh.gif Please either post here, or email me at xboxguy1978@yahoo.com

Thanks!

BEN

The easy solutions are get the HackDaBox reflash disc or
Add the following lines to your evox ini before flashing
Flash = 0xbf61,"SST - 49LF020",0x40000
Flash = 0xbf52,"SST - 49LF020A",0x40000
Flash = 0xdab0,"SST - 49LF020A",0x40000
If the Lattice chip is a 4064 then you need to connect BT to L1 on the chip to enable the flash.
If the Lattice chip is 4032 then ground BT (Connect to poin 2 on the chip) while you flash it.
256k bios file with LBA48 enabled and support for partitions 6 and 7 if you want a G partition.

Ok, so is it a normal thing to do to connect the BT to L1 when first modding the xbox? Or is that something not said in the guides...Also, how do you know if you have a lattice chip 4032 or 4064? How do you check?

Thanks again for your help!

The smaller of the 2 chips on the board will have the the numbers stamped on. You are looking for 4064 on it or 4032.
The BT to L1 bit is to enable the flash mode on these chips. The chip will not always work as the guides say and this is a known method of enabling the flash. You can put all the other wires back as they were when you have finished
