Sent it Friday. Recieved it today. Mine went in because the disc drive failed to read anything at all. They gave me a completely new systtem. The only thing I'm upset about is that they wanted my HDD, and kept it. Now I have to do things over again. sad.gif

By the way, the new system is QUIET!!!!!

Man... there is nothing wrong with mine except how loud it is... I want them to allow people with insanely loud drives to send them in. It is rediculous how loud the drive is. I would send mine in in a second.

My old 360 was was always vertical. It YELLED. My new one, same position, 1/2 the noise. I was shocked myself.

Lie, tell them sporatically the drive won't read. This would mean it sometimes fails, sometimes works. This way if they can't reproduce it they will just replace and ship it back to you. Thus further testing it. No way they would spend more than 30 mins testing it anyway.

I've read that 10 360's together on the mexican border generates enough noise that the border could be safe. Dogs howl in Mazatlan.

mine is somewhat loud..i dont care though, why doesnt it bother me? first i dont have the 360 sittin right beside my head when i play. second, you can barely even hear it when your playing a game, and i probly sit like 8 feet away from my system..aslong as it doesnt sound like a broken record player i dont care.. mine is just a bit louder than a normal computer dvd-rom

Mine is most loud while playing Condemned.. Maybe its the disk?

Meh, I kept my 360 box.. If mine shits out in a year or two or the disk drive is just so loud and everyone has a quieter drive, I'll wipe the Hard Drive and return it to Walmart.

Screw sending it back to MS.

I can confirm this also as I just talked with a friend that just got one back. He says it is much quieter and is more of a low hum sound.

And tell them it was working fine for the first few days, then started to sound louder and louder and that's when the problems started.
