QUOTE(Altima NEO @ Dec 19 2005, 10:39 PM) While theres nothing revolutionary about RR6, its much better than PGR3 in terms of gameplay, and theres way more to do. Lots of tracks, and cars to unlock. I enjoy it quite a bit, probably gets the most play at on my 360.
I have to agree... I enjoy RR6 alot more than PGR3... so fun... I love arcade racers though. really give it a try its crazy addicting fun IMO

dude i bought RR6 because the way the had the videos for it were tight as hell but when i started playing it i was like wtf!!?!?!? this game is sooo damn gay and it's doesn't' have many tracks they just make u do them over and over again except for maybe going backwards. the japansese used to be good game makers but now there just starting to suck ass seriously who cares about them! also one of the most laggy games i've ever played, it lags every single damn time! and all my other online games are perfect ike 98% of the time. i damn near cried because i got it from compusa and i know im not gonna be able to return it!! not even little kids should get it and it is true japanese people are proving there stubborness by only buying japanese crap no matter HOW crappy it is. and the us people who did buy it were fooled by there damn ads!

QUOTE(LowProfileWurm @ Jan 14 2006, 02:15 PM) One question to those who have played RR6 (as I have not). I love Burnout through and through. I hate Forza and Gran Turismo. THEY BORE ME. Given those facts, would RR6 be up my alley? I love the game. I think it's a blast. I think the gameplay is more similar to Burnout than the ones you mentioned. I hated this game at first. The next day as I was about to return it, I gave it another go. It blew me away. The controls are extremely "arcadey", much like Burnout. I'm glad I decided to try it a second time. There's no way I'm letting this game out of my collection now. I don't want to tell you to run out and buy it if you can't rent it, but you'd be doing yourself a terrible disservice if you didn't find some way to try it out at least. Just play it with an open mind. The learning curve is small. Once you start doing really good, tons of other routes and tracks open up. There is a small selection of tracks like someone mentioned, but once I got into it, it didn't bother me. I only liked PGR3 slightly more than RR6. I didn't care for NFS: MW. I thought that was a pretty unfun game. So, yeah, I think RR6 would be up your alley. This post has been edited by metaldevil: Jan 14 2006, 08:37 PM

I've been trying like hell to rent it, but it's always checked out. And God forbid they put the demo on the Marketplace... How close to Burnout's gameplay is it? Well, if you don't like Forza and GT then you won't like PGR3, because all 3 are considered the SIM type where racing is realistic. As in, you better slow down before you hit that turn because they would in real life. I haven't played RR, and I just picked up NFS and haven't played it yet. I have played the NFS demo though and that's why I picked it up. I've heard some bad things about the game(lackluster graphics, choppy, repetitive) so since I haven't played it and can't comment on those I'm not going to tell you to buy. However, after playing the demo I think it's the closest thing to Burnout on the 360 right now. PGR3 is a Sim racer, RR though arcadey is still just racing as I've seen it, but NFS is arcadey in its controls and destructive like Burnout. You can crash into street lamps, gas stations, take out cars in your way(they slow you down, but not dead stop like Burnout 3). I thought the graphics were good, the controls are arcadey, and overall I had fun playing the demo. I like PGR3 for accomplishing something, but NFS was fun. I liked that it was a free roaming environment almost like a GTA on the highway. When doing the challengs like evading police you aren't just doing laps over and over again. You're on the highway and you see an exit to the right, take it; come up to an intersection choose any direction. You can go through parking garages, through parks, golf courses, etc. I'm guessing you might have played the demo already being that you were looking for RR demo on the marketplace, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in anyway.
