Xbmc As Dash, TRUST ME I TRIED EVERYTHING Options

ok as i stated in description i have tried EVERYTHING to get xbmc as main dash trust me on that ive tried auto installers moving the files renaming ect. and matter what i do i cant get it as my main dash and im really getting frustrated i just got done unhooking the hdd from the comp from another failed attempt so if yall no any better ways then the one i posted up there please tell me i really want to get it as main dash

what kind of info im on the 12-18 build and running unleashX as main dash

Well for starters have you got a modchip or a softmod

But for a suggestion replace the unleashX xbe file with a custom xbe that points to where XBMC is installed now. jbone has made a great little tool to do just that check it out here

ive actually tried that before didnt work for me just got error code 13

Well then you either have a very old crappy softmod or your replacing the wrong file
while unleashX is running press the Y button and then scroll down to the bottom it will tell you the exact place where it is installed and what the xbe is called

yeah so you need to replace c:\dashboard\default.xbe with the shortcut one but make sure you get the path to xbmc right maybe you need to habbi sign the xbe but really you shouldn't
do it from ftp

I just did it a few hours ago, actually. All I had to do was:

Move the XBMC folder from my F:/Apps to E:/apps
Copy default.xbe to C: and rename it xbmc.xbe
Copy xboxmediacenter.xml to C:

And that's about it. I have an X3 and already gave xbmc.xbe boot priority so it may be different for you.

ok i created a shortcut: c:\dashboard\Xbox Media Center\default.xbe so just replace the other one and it will work and i have to ftp to get it to my box and what is habbi sign

is c:\dashboard\Xbox Media Center\default.xbe were you actually have a working and tested copy of xbmc installed ? seems a strange place to have it more like e:\apps\xbmc or something. Habbi sign what soft mod fonts look for when booting but you should have either a bios loader or nkpatcher doing that for you

If you really want xbmc in c: then just replace unleashX with it full stop no shortcut file. The shortcut file was to bounce your bios to the currently working copy of xbmc you allready have installed

dude now i have error code 21 and i loaded up james bond with the exploit and dosent go to dash im so mad aaaaaaaaaddddddddd im going to bed now to rest my freakin eyes cause there real tired of seein that damn error code 21

well then I guess you should of taken your time and habbi signed it as a precaution like i suggested instead of just rushing in to it
