quick question,

whats the quickest/best program to use to rebuild the iso after making changes?

Apparently you dont have to make an iso just burn the files to dvd as data

WMVHD sounds yummy, infact I'd like to try it myself by replacing the video files with the HD samples from MS download pages.

so ehhhh NEEJOH -- it's been over an hour. what's the status?

*eagerly awaits*

i would do it but i'm too lazy... smile.gif

yeah, MS lost a potential large sum of money in not supporting WMV-HD dvds.... all they would have had to do is throw in codecs (i'd imagine anyway) and/or something very simple like that. then if they did a ton of advertising for wmv-hd on the 360's and in the 360 paperwork and on the xbox (and ms) websites, they could have generated large sales of their WMV HD discs. i know i, for one, would have bought up dozens of the WMV HD dvd discs.

i bet they were concerned about ppl making copies and getting them to play on the 360, but still - would this alone have stopped them from having wmv hd support in the 360? i don't think so... plus if they put in the work they could have avoided this potential threat.

oh well...

So let me get this straight does the xex file have the media check flag encoded into it, I don’t understand how you can say that it would not execute a xex from a different CD, so can someone explain what the difference is with the xex from this disc to another disc?

I'm now copying the dvd over to my harddrive and extracting the iso from the oxm disc. I have the demo's. So i will try if i can get the Full Auto demo working.

It takes longer to copy the dvd over to the hardrive then i thought. And i can't seem to extract the iso.

Holy shit, i was wondering if this would be possible. I guess if this is possible that you could alter xbox homebrew to work too somehow? or is someone lying?

lol, hehe

a other small question is,
if you play this demo with LIVE signed in.

can that cause a Ban from LIVE ?!?

mostly when you play games/arcade/demo's from marketplace on LIVE,
then other people can see you playing it.

All I can independently verify is that the Kiosk demo DVD DOES boot. I can not confirm any other changes or mods to it to boot anything else... hell I don't even think they're possible... yet. I think though that having a way to launch something burnable and get it to run is an important step and will ultimately lead to some sort of software mod. Then again, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

instead of replacing a game, i deleted one, and made an extra option in the ini file. Now i'm gonna try if it works

CONFIRMED I deleted the pgr3.wmv demo video and put my own WMV HD video in its place. It booted fine and played the video I added. In other words, you can replace a demo video with a WMV HD video and it'll play fine from disk!

In this example I used the coral reef adventure on MS's website. I'll test other vids in a few.

Already received two PM's asking me for help or where to find the disk. I'm not here to help nor am I going to help you find the disk so don't bother PM'ing me.

for saving space, can we delete some of the files (i know it's long thing) or make New>Text Document and rename it to same as the file name in the CD and replace them, so they are 0 (zero) byte?

then get a full backup game e.g. King Kong, then replace it in the king Kong demo folder in the cd unsure.gif

I found this on another site

- You can't run games by copying their data to a demo folder (duh)
- you can extract the iso using i.e. isobuster and burn it as a standard ISO DVD or CDR
- the live arcade games are nothing but standard flash games.. in fact, you can run hexic right in your browser. however replacing the hexic flash files with another swf file results in the 360 crashing hard (only power off helps), and the default.xex in the hexic folder appears to be nothing more than a flashfile player. while this doesn't help with exploits I guess, it would still open an interesting opportunity for homebrew games, since there's tons of flash games out there.. just gotta find out why it crashes. burning hexic alone on a cdr works just fine.
- for some odd reason, when your 360 is set to german, the playable demos are nonexistant on the menu. set to english, they show up.
- there seem to be a bunch more videofiles on there than actually accessible through the menues, such as the e3 trailers of ghost recon 3, gears of war, etc
- there are images of xbox 1 games on there, as well as banners and icons of various xbox360 games and store chains such as ebgames and walmart[/quote]
Looks like with a little work we might be able to get some flash games to run on the 360 smile.gif.... would be a start
