I have sifted through tonnes and tonnes of threads looking for a how too or a tutorial on how to do this. I know it shows you a tut in the tutorial section but that is not what i am looking for. Let me explan:

I dont want to mod my motherboard for the inputs for the HDTV and SPDIF connections. I want to do this through the standard AV plug. I have found the pin out diagrams but it looks all like french to me. I want to open up the plug dongle and soldier the wires to the plug itself so when it is plugged in i could use the HDTV and SPDIF outputs. Does anyone know where there is a tutorial for this, or can someone give me a "how too"

Thanks in advance guys.

Shaun

If you cannot understand the pinouts , Perhaps you should not do this.

Maybe i miss typed what i meant. What i mean is that i am looking for a guide to do EXACTLY what i want so i can avoid over-complicating things by combining 3 or 4 other tutorials and a few pin-out diagrams. Better?

I chipped my box and done various other LED/HDD mods so i am sure i know my way around the box. I did these mods from tutorials that were written by others. So that is what i am looking for, information, not ignorance.

Alright this is what i gathered

Pr: + Pin 19
- Pin 17

Y : + Pin 22
- Pin 20

Pb: + Pin 18
- Pin 16

SPDIF: + Pin 6
- Pin 10, 12, or 14 (all are ground)

Activate SPDIF: Connect Pin 11--->Pin 12

Now what video mode (one, two, three) does it have to be in order to switch it into HDTV mode? Thats all i really need now. Anyone?
