Xbox(360) Dumper v0.13
-- Posted by XanTium on January 5 17:34 EST
The Xbox Dumper that can now also access big-endian FATX partitions on the Xbox 360 HDD (by oz_paulb) has been ported to Windows (by pedrospad). From readme/nfo: [QUOTE] This program allows files on an xbox(360) hard disk to be dumped out.
**UPDATE**: oz_paulb modified code to deal with Xbox360 images. **UPDATE**: pedrospad ported to windows. 01/05/2006 See "XBOX360" define in the Makefile. Still a work in progress.
Two basic commands are supported: xboxdumper list [partition number] [xbox image filename] This will dump the directory tree of the specified partition.
xboxdumper dump [xbox filename] [output filename] [partition number] [image filename] This will dump the file [xbox filename] into the file [output filename] from the specified partition number. The full directory path to the file using / or \ should be supplied. [/QUOTE]

to the ones posted above THIS PROGRAM ALLOWS YOU TO DUMP YOUR 360HD HOOKED TO A PC RUNNING LINUX so what this means if your not educated enough to search for previous info on this or even trying to read the article this will probably be no use to you.

It's a program that allows you to dump/extract files from the xbox360 harddrives filesystem.
You would hook the drive upto an OS that supports the xbox360 drive and filesystem i.e one of the newly updated linux distros, then with this tool you could make a dump or image of the xbox360 harddrive, then after the image has been dumped or made, you could use this tool to extract single files from the drive image and look at them. i.e the dashbaord or some of the downloadable content..... Also i dont think the utility supports writing to the drive, only reading from it. an amazing and wonderfull tool. So basicly people can hook the drive upto a computer and look at and copy the files on it.

that what I'm saying yo. WTF IS UP WITH THE CONNECTION INFO?!?! N/A!! lol.
MORE INFO PLEASE, OTHERWISE NUKE!!!!!
The instructions are pretty straightforward; they just require a bit of common sense to follow.
On another note, this is -very- cool. Hopefully developers will be able to find some way to exploit the emulator or game saves through this. C'moooon Shallax. I want me some hawt GentooX360 action.

We still dont know how to program for the 360 yet, there hasnt been a public (I dont know what goes on behind the scenes) leak of a dev kit so not all homebrew devs have any sort of way to program for the console, so just because the HDD was dumped doesnt mean anything.

Somthing i wanted to clear up, as i was wrong about 1 thing, this code can not dump the image of the drive for you. you have to get/find that on your own...
