So whats another way to transfer my itunes mp3 to my xbox so I can play them during gamepaly. I've tried VXCR but something goes wrong and it doesn't save them wrong, the xbox doesn't rec. the name and it does not play them correctly. other than saving them on cd and using the ms dash which would take forever whats another way or program to do this?

You have to convert them to WMA to transfer them via Soundtrack Editor, if I remember right. That might be your problem.
Also, iTunes installs DRM on your MP3 files -- not a good thing if you're trying to use them like this. You might want to burn them to CD and re-rip them with a different prog (like EAC) anyway. |

the programs I tried like VXCR do convert the mp3 to wma and then ftps it over to the correct folder on the xbox. I could play all the songs fine when I used xbmc and the ms dash sees the soundtrack but some of the files dont have names and you cant play them during gameplay.

what you should try is simply ripping them to your pc and then ftping them over
or just renaming them This post has been edited by onslaught_789: Jan 7 2006, 02:55 PM |

I do have my itunes on my computer, I had tried before to just ftp them over to my F drive but all I could do was play them with XBMC. what I'm trying to do is get them to work as a ms soundtrack like if I had ripped a cd with the ms dash so I can listen to them during gameplay. Anyone know where to save the files on the E drive?

if you want to use them as soundtracks in games, you need to convert them to wma (as mentioned) and transfer them to the xbox with the xbox soundtrack editor that you can download from the x-s main site (it should be somewhere under downloads). you can't just FTP them over to the music folder (it's in E:\TDATA somewhere) because the xbox doesn't realize that they are there.
