is it true that you can only hot swap one time? and if it is then is there anyother way to get to the harddrive all i need to do is change one file name and my shit will work again i should have done it in the first place but no dumbass me just reuploaded my c drive

Nope, false. You can hotswap as many times as you like. Just don't disable security on the drive (Leaving it in an unlocked state) without a backup of the EEPROM/HDKEY or you're screwed and will require a modchip.

ok what would cause the hdtool to say no xbox partitions on drive?

You probably did not hotswap at the correct time. If I unplug the Xbox's IDE cable right after the hard drive becomes unlocked (when the white MS logo appears on your TV), I usually have a high success rate of connecting to the drive.

Also, are you using XboxHDM, or another tool?
