I have completed the game CONDEMNED and COD2 with my old offline account. I have bought XBOX live and made a new one. I have a memory card and a HDD. But when I want to transfer mine savegames from mine old account to mine new account, I get the message this item cannot be transferred between profiles?

Is there nog way to transfer it? In that case I didn't have to buy a memorycard. When I play by a friend on his 360 with a game we both played I can't even put his savegame on mine memory card so I can play where we left off. I must then save his profile on mine XBOX en must play on it.

The reason is because of those STUPID achievements right???
I hope that there will be a solution (Hack or something) in the future.

Greetz,

If you could do what you are asking there would be no reason to have gamerscores because people would cheat and shit. And if a hack comes around then kiss the whole gamerscore goodbye.

Well I don't care if those stupid gamesscores wil be gone.
I don't care how much points people has, what I (and much more poeple) care is that you can transfer savegames to another console just like with al the old consoles.

But then I could download a gamesave from the web and possibly have Live register it in my achievements. So then you would be playing me thinking I had finished COD2 in veteran mode, where in reality, I had only finshed the first part in rookie mode.

This could have been avoided if you simply READ THE INSTRUCTIONS or PAID ATTENSION to the options in the dashbaord..

If you're buying an Xbox Live account you simply select your current profile and choose to UPGRADE it to Xbox Live...

For all intents and purposes there are 3 levels of "service"

-Offline Profile
-Xbox Live Silver
-Xbox Live Gold

If you want to move from one to the next you must choose the upgrade option

ALL savegames are contained within a profile. You can't move save games from one profile to the next...

Sorry if this is all bad news, but a little research goes a long way, glancing over the instructions or paying attension to the availble options in the Xbox dahsboard/guide would have saved you all this headache.

I made the same mistake. I played about halway through Quake 4 then set up live the next day. I didn't see the upgrade option either. So no I have two profiles wich is a pain in the ass. All of my game saves are on my live profile except for quake. When I want to play quake I have to change to the other profile.

It would be nice if there was some way to combine the two profiles without start from scratch on Quake.

Yes there is a way.

Angerwound found this out when me and him were experimenting with the memory card,

You need a memory card. THIS WILL NOT COPY ACHIEVMENTS, Only game progress.

You arrow all the way right in the xbox need to go to memory->your hardrive->games->the profile that has the game save you want to copy->select the gmae-> select the game save-> click copy.

Repeat this and copy all the game saves you want to copy.

Now take your memory card out.

Then go to memory->your hardrive->gamer profiles->select the profile that you copied the game saves from-> then delete the profile.

Sign into the profile you want the game saves to be transfered to.

Now insert your memory card back into the 360.

go to memory->your memory card->games->(it will say unreconized profile) selcet that profile->select then game you want-> select the gamesave and click copy (select the hardrive to copy it to)

That will copy the gamesave to your active profile(the reason i had you sign into the the profile you want to copy the gamesave to)

The xbox will not allow to transfer gamesaves between profiles. The reason that it has you select a profile and THEN select a game save. But not having the profile on the xbox confuses the xbox. It does not know which profile that the game save goes to. So that is why it allows you to copy it to the active profile.

I now have a a game save for a sporting game on my main profile, (i am at school and i cant remember which one), that i have never payed before. If you need more detail i will try to walk you through it tonight once i get home. My aim is johnnytk36.

Angerwound figure this out after work we have done in this thread.

Thats true, my PDz game wouldn't let me copy it. The answer they gave me on the phone was keep trying.
If it says it wont copy, why would it work the next time.
