Hi Guys,

My xbox has been running in it's current configuration for around 6 months now happily.

Sometime in the last week it stopped being able to view my network.

I took this to be the wireless link between it and my network to be the issue.

After several days of diagnostics the current setup is Xbox--cat5--Linux box

- I get ethernet link
- tcpdump shows the arp messages " 19:11:31.096747 arp who-has 192.168.0.100 tell 192.168.0.7"
- Tried multiple peices of cat5
- Tried the same test with my windows box.
- No firewall's in between
- checked re-checked and changed the ip configuration of the Xbox 3 times.

I am really at a loss and beginning to think the Ethernet port is shagged.

Has anyone got any suggestions how I could test this? are there any other ways to inteface with the xbox other than its ethernet port? Is there anyway to change/upgrade or use an USB-ethernet key or somethng ?

Frustrated as hell.
