Yeah the original LED is a tri color LED, it's Red, Amber, and Green. (for some reason they use a separate color for amber, and don't make it by merging red and green).
It has 4 pins.
However, you can replace it with a standard common cathode 5mm bi-color LED (I used a blue/red on mine). Just bridge the amber and green pins, and it will make the red and blue turn on dimly, it's the best I could do.
