Since members of the avalaunch team wrote xtoolbox, could you add the nickname editor to avalaunch. That's the only thing I keep xtoolbox around for.

I would either like a more robust media player or change the current mp3 player to make it so it will play music in subfolders of the mp3 folder.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but how come there has not been a Email Checking program made yet for Xbox?, Not all of us have our Xbox's near are PC's., I remember I could check my mail on my Dreamcast that was kool. But then that was through a web browser called PlanetWeb. Anyway its just a suggestion.

here are my two suggestions

1)Ability to hide menus, for example when avalaunch boots up, only games
applications and emulators would show up. A simple simultaneous keypress
could show the hidden ones, for changing settings. That way it would be
harder for users to get confused or mess up your xbox.

2)This doesn't have to be avalaunch, but it would be nice in filemanager or QWIX
A utility to automatically rename directories, by adding the size of the folder.

For example

Instead of directory name

MameX
or
DaphneX

it would be

MameX[5.4gb]
or
Daphne[13.1gb]

This would make it easier for managing your hard drive when your low on space

The ability to hide icons on certain menus for certain items, for instance show an icon for XBMC on the apps menu, but not on my link for it on the main menu.

You can get rid of that, rem out the line

<item name="XBox Media Player" path="F:\Apps\XBMC\default.xbe"/>

in your avalaunch.xml file the line is at the bottom of the file

Just remove the "<" at the beginning of the line

so it looks like this

item name="XBox Media Player" path="F:\Apps\XBMC\default.xbe"/>

if you want that menu back just put the "<" back

Yes you can hide all of these menus, i would like to see a feature that turns selected menus on and off with button combos. ie. black and white button at the same time

i just dont want to edit the xml file everytime i need to change a setting.

It will be nice for DSl owning people like me who has to use PPOE for internet. Although with a router DSL can be connected to xbox and then avalaunch works but it would be very good if Avalaunch has DSL support.
