Hello, I'm a noob to this. I had someone mod my xbox and they didn't install evox or anything else. Now when I try to ftp to the xbox it times out. I have gone to XBMC settings network and changed the IP to match that of my comp still no go. I have gone through a hub; a router and a crossover cable. I don't get any kind of RSS feed either. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

First of all use the router if it has a DHCP server on it (must of them have). Make sure you set the XBMC network settings

- not static
- use dhcp

something like that. Don't them by heart. If you start your xbox the ip of the xbox should be shown in the first screen of XBMC.

Question: does your xbox boot up in XBMC?

BTW you posted in the wrong forum! This is XboxMediaPlayer

eh sorry about that just saw xbox media :| it does boot straight to XBMC. Could I have problems if I don't have the software. I've checked motorolla and they didn't have it on their website...
