Nhl Open Ice....mame, Need To Get Working!

I managed to get all other midway games working with either mameox.71 or mame-X B6, But this, my favorite all time arcade game. Of course wont work. I tried those two emulators and mameo-X 128plus. Anyone ever get this game running at a playable framerate. I will give my left leg to get this working on the xbox. Thanks in advance P.S. savestates in mameo-x 128 plus how?????cant get to a decent menu during emulation
