Today, I tried to boot up my system, and encountered the following problem:
1) the central symbol on the power button lights up (normal yellowish green color)
2) the 4 surrounding rings that used to always swirl around no long do so
3) No image nor sound is present. I've tripled checked and confirmed that the av cables are properly plugged in
4) The disc drive is still ejectable (putting a disc in has no effect)
5) Pressing the tiny white button used to interface with the wirless controller is a fruitless affair
Can anyone hear diagnose my problem or perhaps offer some potential solutions?
Thanks in advance
Appearantly we are the only 2 persons who have dealed whit this issue reading through all 46 pâges here
for the rest its code this or code that i read!!
I on the other hand have always managed to get it to boot succesfully the second time when i turned on my box again. That has been the case from DAY 1 when i bhought the dreaded box and still is as of today, proximate 1 year and more old by now!!
It started whit the on and off x2 yoyo annoyance from the verry beginning when i bhougt that system wich leads me to believe that m$ sends refurbished boxes to local stores wich they sell as new units
Then a few months ago i started to have E74 errors frequently and ive ignored it, since it woud boot/ startup every time in a second attempt no problems. Untill an few weeks ago i got the 3 Rings of Destruction, so i wos llike FUCK M$ and either apply the x-clamp fix myself or kick the box from 10 high downwards rather then to re-send it to m$ after all the sshit ive put up whit.
So, few weeks ago i appearantly succeeded to fix the 3 RROD permanently as my box still does it thing.
But iam still unable to solve that startup annoyance like i have had from the verry beginning when it was new and innocent
SO? WOTS THE DEAL WHIT THAT !! No , sounds, no video, no red rings, no GREEN rings for that matter, just the green light in the middle (me thinks power led) !!! I checked my psu, and it led GREEN alright!!?
I know wot most of u think VIDEO CABLE , well gues wot i borrowed an cable from a friend wich never have had E74 errors or other related issues that might be the cause of A "bad" video cable. And that startup problem still ocured !!!!!!
So, i think i speak for farcue and myself when i say thats one nasty MISTERY on our hands!!
baltazor,
