Well to find out how to get the error code go to the first page of this topic happy.gif

2 lights is overheating and as you did the X-Clamp fix you have either used too many washers or you applied too much thermal compound(size of a rice grain should be enough, also make sure that you spread it out evenly with a creditcard or something because the finer the layer the better it conducts the heat...).
The heatsink is not making good contact with the chip die...

1002 Error - DVD Drive error. My LG drive isn't bricked (I can eject it and read&write under windows) but I get this error when I put on it my test firmware..

If I'll put my oryginaln firmware- there is no error smile.gif

I don't think that 0002 will be network interface problem. I bet this is problem with CPU voltage... Check for broken parts around and under CPU. There is no pernament solution for this problem, you need to check and find what is broken exactly

QUOTE(Darkshot1 @ Apr 6 2006, 10:23 PM) *

I'm getting the 3 red lights, and the error code is 0102, and I have no idea what's wrong. It gave me this error before, and would not turn on, but somehow fixed itself (only thing i did was plug in my mp3 player to it, but thats most likely unrelated.)

Now its doing it again and its not turning on at all. I guess i got lucky last time. It hasn't even been used for about 4 hours, and it wasn't any rigorous playing, so its not overheating. I just decided to turn it on and it did this. It also froze up earlier during Perfect Dark, might be related.

It says on this thread that 0102 is an unknown error... anyone know?

i got the same code i heated up the ram chips with a lighter i held it about an inch away under them and now it works ! wink.gif

I didn't see this above... When I turn on my 360 the power indicator light turns green, however the rings never light up or blink at all. The machine sounds as if it is starting up and running smooth but after about five minutes it powers itself off. During the uptime no audio or video is available. I'm able to open and close the disc tray although I'm unsure if the disc actually spins or not. I will be sending my system into MS since I'm still warrentied, however I'd like to know what the issue is. Any ideas? Thank you.
