grr.gif i loved this game.. but now i think its pretty f*cking retarded... the main quest part 2 u have to kill some ding bats for the king and get some orcish scales... b/c the tomb is 'INFESTED' with bats. well if it is infested then how come i have to wait untill night and then sit there for an hour and a half just to kill 8 of them (bc the few that do pop up get provoked by a higher level warrior.) then they dont drop the f*cking orc scales. This is retarded. i hate this game.

its like playing call of duty or perfect dark, and just sitting there for an hour and a half running circles in the same spot for no apparent F*CKING reason. anyone else have this problem?

Thats how those type of games are. If you think thats bad, we use to sit and camp for 8+ hours for one spawn sometimes on everquest when I use to play that. That game had some crazy quest.

You get Rank 2 for doing that quest.
What I did to get the scales was go all the way through the other end of the tunnel into the maze like thing and killed a ding bat. Got one on the first try.

yeah, i got the PC version shortly after i played the beta. it is a lot more fun since there arent as many ppl.

I have the FFXI Beta also and I suggest you just wait untill the full version to do simple quests like these. I'm also a lvl 75 Black Mage/ 37 White Mage and I did this in less then 32 days because the game was out on PC for 3 years and PS2 for 2 and since everyone is new on the beta you all need the same things done at once which will get annoying to anyone even me who loves this game. When the full version comes out you will have the help of HIGH levels for quests and missions. Theres always going to be monsters that you will need to camp more than a real life job for which also makes the game frustrating, but in time you will get everything you need just maybe not want.
