Rumor Time... F.e.a.r ?!?!?! Options

I dislike EGM as is, so when a rumor is mentioned in their magazine, I put the news in the same category as "the ps2 is a super computer and will show Emotion"... but it even being mentioned got me excited....

According to the rumor section of the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM), F.E.A.R. may be headed to the Xbox 360 in 2006. Currently a PC only title, the game shares some technology with Condemned Criminal Origins, which could facilitate a port of the game to the console.

The rumor appears to be based on the (reasonable) logic that if the technology is already in place on the Xbox 360 -- via Condemned -- surely Monolith won't hesitate in porting their flagship FPS to the console. Apparently we should expect an announcement shortly, so stay tuned for more.

I wanted a Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Far Cry, FEAR and Rallisport 3 on 360, so far I am getting 3 of those, lets pray we get the other 2. I wouldnt turn down a 360 HalfLife 2 either

Far cry is more dated than FEAR and it s comming!

I've been hoping for an official announcement, I guess this'll have to do...I mean, Condemned went from coming out for 360 and PC, to 360 exclusive, back to coming out on PC again...definitely shares alot of the same graphics technology with Condemned, just a whole lot more shit going on onscreen....I stopped playing fear half way through in hopes of it coming out on 360...my 5950 ain't what she used to be

They could easily make it a sequel, the game is mostly a bunch of fighting seuqences in rooms after the other. Great stuff but also pretty easy as a developer to make more of those.

well they are talking about porting it over i think. so a sequel would maybe require more work and time

I'd be interested in a port of fear, although I think that ports are getting a bit dated. They should sell them for $40 or something.

be nice, but after reviewing the screenshots its not really all that amazing besides the shader effects in slow motion

I would LOVE an updated FEAR with techs like motion blur, advanced shaders and soft shadows that i can actually see ( i had to turn them off to run the game on my PC). And multiplayer over live would be cool (as well as a coop mode...).

at this point, I would think fear to be the freshest fps out there, leading the pack...
