Another quick fix release. Build 572 is available via live update and soon Xbins. I am re-using this thread since this is just another quick fix release.

*Fixed InfoText that doesn't have "Width" attribute doesn't show up.
*Fixed Newsticker only displays the first item after it's done displaying
the first set of news items. (Continuous only)

*Changed Copy and Edit screen of Music Player reverted to old style.
Use MMBorderColor, MMLightBackColor to modify the dialog.

*Added Copy and Edit screen of Music Player can now have it's own background
image like the Playlist. Format is:

Where:
x = offset from left where text should start
y = offset from top where text should start
x2 = offset from right (default equals x)

*Added Right and Bottom offset for Playlist image. Format is same as the
<Dialog> node.
*Added InfoText: Drive Free space in percent format. 2 digit, non-decimal
format only.

*Added Extended DVD Media check. Experimental and haven't been tested as
I don't use PC-DVD drive. This can be found in Storage setting, under
DVD Information.
*Added Music info database for custom soundtracks (music Not ripped via MS-dash).
This will be placed in the selected music folder and named "Info.xml"
*Added Custom soundtracks is now listed in music player. Can only be played and
renamed(ATM).

Misc:
For some reason, the music getting cut off doesn't happen on my xbox, but I added
extra check, nonetheless. Of course, I cannot test it. If you can tell me or send
me a sample that does that constantly, that'd be great.

*Fixed FTP client should be more tolerant with 0 byte-sized file
*Fixed Right-aligned screen items were off by significant pixels
*Fixed Bug in title searching where it always search for icons and videos
everytime, making it appear somehow slower.
*Fixed Copy and Edit screen of Media Player always using the default
skin

*Added File manager sorting option: Name, Size, Type and Date. Press start
to activate
*Added Video mode: You can now change betwen PAL and NTSC. Setting is
persistent, meaning it won't reset on reboot. On bootup, you can
hold Back+LT to change to PAL, Back+RT to NTSC instantly.
*Added Video Settings: Widescreen/Normal, HDTV Modes are now persistent
and will affect programs that uses them, including MS dash.
*Added Storage Settings: Hard disk can be lock/unlock now.
WARNING: Not tested with apps that patches the ROM, or any of the
virtual drive stuff.
*Added Storage Settings: Full S.M.A.R.T. reporting, including but not limited
to HD Temp. Sometimes, you would see the current value greater than
the max recorded value. This is because I don't update the data in the
disk.
*Added RSS Newsfeed: Continuous settings. Makes RSS feeds like news ticker.
Defaults to On. When turned on, Newsfeed will ALWAYS scroll and no
custom text can be added to this item.
*Added RSS Newsfeed: Separator. You can customize the separator for each item.
*Added HDTemp, HDTempC, HDTempF to InfoText for HDD Temperature.

NOTE: Update is only available via Live Update option. I'm having problems connecting to Xbins but I will upload it there as soon as I can.

This build is also now on Xbins

NOTE : It seems a small skinning bug has been introduced where if text items in the skin dosn't have a <width> section in them they will not be displayed like they did on previous builds, So if your skins are now missing text items this is the reason you will need to add the <width> parts to the skin.xml to display them again.
Hopefully unleashX will fix this so we don't have to update all skins

Xbins is down, it will be back soon, and i tried to download with live update but this is the first time i see it saying : Unexpected error occured while installing update. File may be corrupt or damaged.

Is there another server from where to download from liveupdate for the moment ?

Maybe rapidshare or simili because Xbins seems down for a (short?) moment

I had the same problem. I am thinking that the updater didn't like all the changes I've made to the config.xml (rearranging all the menus, assigning icons, etc.).

But I had an original RAR from the last build, so I FTP'd the files to my Xbox, opened Unleash, and I was able to update. I'll have to configure Unleash again from scratch, but who cares? I am happy to receive this new build! Thanks!

Since i softmodded my xbox, the default.xbe of my build 565 was named Hackdash.xbe on C\Systeme\Dashboard, but the download didn't worked. So like the third man i downloaded a fresh build 565, put it in Apps, and download worked from this xbe (the default one and even with default.xbe renamed hackdash).

Maybe this is really a problem with olders config or items xml.. some tests will say it

For the record the build im on at the moment is 38.0515a and it definetly insists it is up to date.

My dash is in the root of c and it named unleashx.xbe, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Xbins still down so guess I will have to wait a little longer to get my hands on the dash.......

hello to every one........i was wondering is it worth upgrading unleash x from its last version ((does this upgrade really make a diference?))))
and if it is worth upgrading how would i upgrade it?
((i have the file do i replace the unleash x files with the new one?))

I tried just moving my build (515) to apps on E, but the auto update still not working from there. I have played with my dash a lot, but I do still have an untouched version of 515, I will put that on later and try from fresh, to identify if some changes I had made to the config are causing the problem, failing that I will obtain 565 or the newest build when i get chance.


BTW, nice one for dropping the update, its nice to have a dash thats still getting worked on.

Edit: For the record, I installed a fresh UnleashX_0_38_0515A.rar, and I was able to update using that version. Also, I running Unleash from F:/Dashboards/UnleashX.

No, the .xbe is a file that was built with the xdk, so uploading it is not an option.

When I try to view the information of some things, like games or apps, it seems to freeze everything but the music. The first two entrys and the very last entry in my games list lock everything up every time, with only one or two others in the list doing the same thing. I haven't messed with apps as much, but it seems to do pretty much the same thing.
