how do you know if you have been banned? anyways i listened to some guy because i deleted my dash and he says if i start a game with a update i can then go to get update and i go to a black screen and stay there what do i do?

you know you're banned when you try to connect to xbl and it gives you a "modified hardware/software" error message.

i try signing on halo 2 and it says cannot connect start trouble shooter but i cant because i dont have a dash and then i deleted my halo 2 folder so that i can get a dash update and get it back but when i go to get update i stay at a black screen
