Detailed Tech Info of Headers and Connectors on Xbox 360 Motherboard -- Posted by XanTium on February 19 23:03 EST
Speedy22 sent us a great document he wrote with pinouts, diagrams and technical/manufacturer details of all the headers and connectors on the Xbox 360 motherboard. He also added some info about differences on retails motherboards, list of Bios/Kernel versions seen so far, Retail/XeXDK/HDK ports and the different unique numbers (like console serial number, product id and so on):
Most of the information was based on the top and bottom layers of a dechipped 360 motherboard and decapped chips, I will update the information once I gain full knowledge of the inner layers of the motherboard.
For reference, I have also included some information I have gathered from images of Development Hardware and XDK hardware found on the net.
Please double-check my information, I am human and I do make mistakes. I have also attempted to give credit where credit was due. If you find any errors or omissions, please let me know so that I can correct it on future versions.
Like most, I am doing this as a hobby in my spare time, so I will do my best to keep the information up to date but I can not make any guarantees.
You can download the public version of his document here[PDF].

Really impressive.
I suppose this will help much in hacking the 360.
U can get the private version just writing the author and sending him the requested money...

Great Work.
Waiting for someone that has the knowledge to say if it's useful as I suppose for the scene.

It's really strange that no one is posting 'bout this news.
I noticed that after the "fail" of kiosk disc usage as an hack/exploit, the whole community has lost much of the interest 'round 360's hacking.

its a shame that people are lazy in the way that they dont want to show any interest unless it will benifit them.

I think all this information is really interesting. I wouldn't be able to use any if it to help out, but I am sure many people can. So thanks for all the hard work that went into making this.

At least it gave people SOME hope, especially if they didn't know too much about modding.

Sorry to annoy you, and I respect the work of the guy who made this, but this is not some very hot stuff.

It's just a pin desc, you know, the kind of things you can find very easily if you are into electronic. I guess people actually working on the 360 hacking know this already. Still, it's a nice document.

Good work smile.gif

I personally don't plan on getting a modchip at all for the 360, unless it allows Xvid files to be played with the MS media center. On my current xbox, i have so many games that i never play them and they go under-appreciated, i would rather pay a lot of money for games and get great use out of them, now that i have a job anyway tongue.gif
