Funny thing about mathmatics if its all been done you cant just make new shit up. only so many things. Maybe start combos like a box in a tv inside a big screen.

you can ALWAYS make new shit up...

Okay, I have one that I have yet to see that I have been pondering, and I think it would be great for the slim case design. I started a thread about my ideas, but didn't get much feedback, so I haven't started the hardware portion of my project. Anyway, I think it would be fairly easy to have a flip top lid for the DVD. That way you could place it anywhere. You could even make the whole top flip top for easy access and emergency cooling(although hopefully you don't need that.

Also, an XBOX in a fish tank would be easy and different.

P.S. Anyone have any advice on a good place to learn to do sigs?

Damn! I can't believe you just posted that! That was exactly what I was gunna say!

I also liked my idea of getting an xtender and putting in a slim projector instead of the extra hard drives. I would do it, but there's no way I could afford one of those slim projectors right now...

I also saw a custom PC where the guy put all of the components of his PC in a clear case that was full of some sort of non-conductive clear gel. He used a straw to put in little stationary bubbles to make it look like the whole thing was full of water. He said that it kept a pretty cool temp too. I'm in the process of finding some pics right now. I just wish I knew what kind of gel he used! I think an xbox with this would be kick ass!

EDIT: Although I didn't find the one I was thinking of, here's some other links:

Bury your xbox in the soil in your garden, use wireless controllers and just run the video cable into your house tongue.gif

Cut a hole in your wall and mount your xbox in there and cover it with plexiglass biggrin.gif

I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but either have an additional screen for your xbox or have the whole unit be in the bathroom. I've always wanted to do this but have never had the $ for a flat screen. Anyway, I'd love to be able to play games on the shitter, or better yet in the bath/hot-tub(w/ wireless controllers of course)

with all these mods it seems that somewhere along the line people will forget what xbox originally looked like at all

or get a slim projector(and i mean slim) and remove the dvd drive in your xbox relocate the hard disk and throw in the projector

If you could find a good, small, lcd screen, a small projector shouldn't be that hard to make with the new super bright LEDs they have. I have done some dabbling in DIY projectors, HUGE scene there by the way, and it can be done. If anyone decides to do this, I'd love to help and be kept up to date on the project. The last one I made was huge, but I'd like to make a small one soon, but I am broke right now(just moved and had to break my lease, so I'm flat broke).

Lego?
Tiny with external ps + no dvd?
Made completely out of 2 way mirror?

That's just a few origional ideas that if have been done, have only been done once of twice. Just browse computer modding forums for ideas. Or type random words into google picture and look through some pics for maybe a spark of inspiration.

It's not that it's hard to be origional, you just can't be arsed to think hard enough tongue.gif.

I cut the side of my PC tower and installed an LCD, thus making 50% more space on my desk.

You all are obviously young members

Xbox submerged in water was started, but was a genius scam, the guy had people donate money and parts for this expensive 3m protective coating, etc.

Legos, yes has been done, believe HSD made a computer simulated one, someone actually made a ghetto looking one.

I have NEVER seen an xbox in a tv, have seen an xbox in an old iMac case, done by Birdtales? i think and beautifully done at that.

And anything you think to do with an xbxo has been done with a pc (bit-tech.net) check there for good ideas in the project logs section, lots of nice ones there

i have seen an xbox built into a big screen tv, but didn't the guy who submerged his xbox use vegetable oil? why don't you build your xbox and your computer into one computer case. then have it setup where you can just hit a switch and switch between the computer and the xbox showing up on the monitor, i haven't seen that yet.
