Would a fan such as this work stock with the xbox motherboard? It is a 3-pin connector in the motherboard correct?

I dont see why not, but it is an 80mm fan, I believe the xbox fan is a 60mm. You will have to hack some chunks off of it and mod your case some to make it fit in there.

ya im not so much concerned with the size of the fan as i am dealing with the connection to the xbox....im not too good with sodering and was wondering if the stock xbox fan is a standard 3pin connector

Its a 70mm... and yeah its a standard 3 pin connector.

theoretically, any fan with a 3 pin should work.
