Hello,

I did a simple search on this forum and didn't find any info on this. If there is a post about this, then sorry.

A friend of mine found out the pinout for HDD Activity LED. Found on PIN 11 on power cable going to the Samsung HDD (supposedly the larger plug from inside the HDD case). Free60 has the pics we used for guidance.

Pin 11 is reserved. We don't know for what. If anyone has more info please inform.

Pin 11 was used for ground and which ever 5 volt pin for positive

Will post pics soon. Still waiting for my friend to send pics of proper pin connections.

P.S. He might create a mini tutorial. (might not be needed anyway).

EDIT: got some pics here --> http://allentron.tripod.com/xbox_360_hdd_activit/ Still waiting for a pic with the pins used.

BTW, How true is it that there are different connector types depending on the HDD inside the casing.

Well, all kudos goes to "kawawukie" (friend I was talking about). He's a newbie here on xbox-scene but DEFINITELY not a newbie when it comes to xbox modding and hacking. I do most of the reading, writing and (cough)software(cough) stuff. He does all the physical stuff.

Of course we still classify ourselves as newbies because we are always reading and learning.

We only hope to see the Pro Modders use this info with there intellectual talents. wink.gif

Thanks for commenting!
