You don't need the dongle to use DVD2Xbox (the DVD ripping app)... You don't need it for DVDx2 either (the DVD-Video viewing app).

If you need it, just get it from xbins and FTP it over to the Xbox to E:\Apps or wherever your dash will recognize it.

I think on the box with Dvd2XboX it is still there from when you had SID installed. Not sure how you got Dvd2XboX on there, could have been from an AID installer or you could have put it there. I don't think SID installs Dvd2XboX for you.

You can just get the program "Dvd2XboX" and put it in your E:\Apps\ directory and it will show up under your applications in your dashboard.

Good to see you've got Krayzies installed now m8.

Ok, thanks guys. Im getting the hang of the xbox now.

Anyway I just got the krazys extras on my xbox. I also put a nes emulator in the emulators folder. how do I use it? In extras under emulators I put all the unzipped NES emulator files in there and some roms in the roms folder.

How do I get this to show up under emulators on the main menu. Thanks again for all the help guys.

Ok sorry for double post but I got the emulator thing figured out. However in emulators it comes up and says fce. Can I change that to say something else like NES emualtor or something. If not thats cool anyway.

Otherwise im thinking about poping a 20-40 gig HDD in my halo xbox. How hard will this be to do for me. I know how to take it all apart and hook it all up. I also know how to handle formatting on a PC as well as partitioning. If someone could point me to a good guide that would help. Im not being lazy but last time I followed a guide everyone told me to use something diffrent so im asking this time. Thanks again!

EDIT: also I cant find dvd2xbox at the "usual place" I looked under xbox apps and other places and cant find it anywhere. Can someone please send me it or should I just copy it from my halo xbox?

This is a great guide to upgrade your HD, http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=421367

Pretty easy, you basically just FTP the contents of your xbox to your PC then create a boot disc, then run xboxhdm on your PC and install all the files onto your new HD, then lock it and it's ready to go. That's just a quick explaination but just read that tutorail and it will tell you everything to do.

It says with Krayzies UXE 2.8, but that's older and Ndure v1.1 will work fine.

Dvd2xbox can be found in the file managers section of xbins.

Thank you again. You have been very helpful.

I just got dvd2xbox and a emulator put on myuncles xbox so thats great. However I went into extras and hit the Y button to see the system info so I could write down a HDD key and 3 important things are blank.

Serial Number, Version, and HDD Key all are blank. Anyone know why this is or how to get them. I already have eeprom backups of his and mines eeproms on my PC but extra safty never hurts.

It's just a program that will allow you to backup the EEPROM, HDD key, etc.
