Xbox 360 Running Perfect Since Launch Just Died!, Oblivion apparently killed my 360 Options

I have had my 360 since launch and it has worked flawless, I never had one problem.

About 10 min ago I was playing oblivion, (swiming away from some guards actually) and it just went to a blue screen and froze.

I then went to reboot the system only to get the good ol freeze on bootup with all these vertical lines across the screen.

After trying a few different things to try and get it going again, It now just gives me the 3 red lights with no picture.

I talked to this guy at 1800 4MYXBOX and he told me that oblivion uses a huge amount of system resourses and they have been getting alot of problems since its release, Sounds like total BS to me this totally looks like nothing but burned out system ram due to heat or a defect which they stated they had with the one ram companies.

Never the less Im left waiting for my new 360, I now feel for all those poor people left with faulty consoles on launch day.

I got mine on launch day and I saw someone post that MS has made the warranty 3 months longer due to all the 360s overheating and dying. Is this true or has my warranty already run out because i got mine launch day.

did u get error code 0102?

No not at first, all it would do is freeze and not give me any flashing lights at all.

Now though it gives me 3quad flashing red lights execept upper right quad.

I never had any problems with my 360 as well untill i played GRAW for a week, now all i get is 3 red lights, and a "hidden" error code of 0102

i have played graw for about 12 hours(not straight) total time,never expierienced a thing...The only thing that i expierienced with oblivion was a loading freeze,but i was disconected from xbox live at the time by my server,never happend since...i am waiting my nyko intercooler,just to be sure.....One question....what are the dates of your manufactured 360?mine is december 23...also...what is your region?Since i am in eyrope ,mine is a pal machine...i just wondered if is mostly a region thing...

yup, mine died too couple weeks ago, and it was a launch console. not one single problem besides the occasional freeze but it always rebooted. All sudden i get freeze after freeze, and then the red lights. weird. i'd been thinking to myself the whole time how lucky i was to not have any issues.

Does anybody's Fight Night 3 lock up on them? mine locks up at least once every time i play, more like twice. even on my original 360 it would freeze.

The fight night demo has locked up on me alot. Strangely, it's only EA sports demos that lock up on me, Fight Night, Madden and NBA all lock up. Everything else is fine. I've played COD for more than 5 hours straight and not a hitch. EA sports games though? Forget about it.

Strange though.

here is what i have noticed

MS changed flashrom chips that store the dashboard on a lot of launch systems

they went to a smaller chip on core systems and a bigger different chip on premium systems

and this also has been causeing problems when updating the 360
