Quick question for you guys. (and gals?)

When I broke open my Tomb Raider the other night,
I hooked up the 'ol 360 to my HD Projector and spent the night
playing TR in all of its glory, on a 12' screen.

Now that I hooked my 360 back up to my computer monitor,
I'm having problems figuring out what the best resolution is to play
the game in.

I'd just play it on the projector all the time, but my permament place for my 360 is in my
computer room. I only bring the 360 down in the cold basement for special occasions.... wink.gif

Whatever resolution I switch between on the PC monitor, I either get a widescreen mode
that seems a little too 'squished', or a 4:3 image that looks really stretched.

What resolutions are you guys playing in?

The 1080i on the projector looked perfectly perportioned, but am having problems
finding the right size on the PC monitor.

I dont mind if it plays letterboxed on the monitor, I just dont want Lara to look like she gained an
extra 30-40 pounds on the screen.

Well whats the game support? If its a 1080i game I usually just use 1280x1024 720p I think the resolution is 1024x768.

Unfortunataly it seems VGA support is broken on Tomb Raider (In 4:3 ratio at least). At both 1024x768 and 1280x1024 res the picture is squashed. It works fine in 640x480 but that res defeats the point of HD VGA support.

That would make sense. (that VGA suport is messed up in the game)
Yeah, I dont want to play in 640x480 so, maybe I"ll just get it into the 'squashed' mode, and adjust
the vertcal stretch on the montior when I play it....
