Good Bow? Options

i have never even seen a silver bow... well anyways...the bows are random items found on bandits, maruaders, etc. and maybe dremora...you can only get it at lv. 20 or higher...

I reccomend just enchanting your own Daedric Bow or somthing like that, as for arrows, I have about 250 Arrows of Immolation which do 65 damage in 10 feet on target, they are amazing. You shoot something with them and they just blow up. Hilarity.

Wow you just renewed my interest in Oblivion!

I had gotten burned out with my marksman, after getting into the arcane university.

Spending hours leveling up in Mysticism, only to find out that I couldn't use telekinesis to throw enemies, was frustrating to say the least.

My new goal is to the enchant the dozens of bows I have. If I can get something similar to 65 damage, I'll be happy and I can move on.

i took a dadric bow and enchanted it with a grand soul gem to damage health. it damages health a hundred points for 1 sec. and then plus the enchanted arrows and the bow while sneaking will kill almost anyone with one shot some take two but now many. and it gets 40 some shots before i have to recharge it.

Where do you get a daedric bow from? The best i have is a silver bow and for the life of me i can't find a decent bow above that.

The higher the level of your character, the better loot that the bad guys have. I don't think I see anything less than daedric now. I also think the bows go something like this:

rusty iron
iron
steel
silver
elven/dwaven
glass
daedric

I haven't seen an ebony bow yet, maybe they don't exist or I am not high enough level. I know ebony arrows exist however, I think they seem to do the most base damage.

Personally I don't even bother charging my magic items, but it does take about 10 shots to kill most things. I guess I should start spending my 200,000 gp on something. I wish I could get my mercentile up, because I hate selling all of these 6000 gp items for 1200 gp because of the max gold on hand thing.

the black bows are basically steel bows but its called differently...its kinda like shadowhunt but without the enchantment...and they have the same attributes as a steel bow...oo the only good thing about the black bows spoiler:


are that you can sell them to the count for $100 after you complete the Mazoga the Orc and Knights of the White Stallion Quests

attack is 11 but I dont know if my marksman skill affects that...
seems to be below glass and deadric but I haven't found either of those yet

your level as well as your marksmen will effect how much damage that stuff does...

I have 2 ebony bows, an elven bow, an iron bow, and a Dwarven bow. My marksman skill sucks

yay just found a daedric bow its in the Roxey Inn kill everyone there except Pranal, and Malene also found daedric armour

When you enchant arrows...what happens exactly?

Does the enchantment go after you've used the arrows up or is it the arrow type that is enchanted?

Say if I enchant my elvean arrows with fire damage and use them all, will any elvean arrows I buy take the enchantment?

I don't think you can enchant arrorws. You have to find them. (But you can dupe them).

I have two different daedric bows. One is a regular daedric bow and the other is a heavy bow.

How do you dupe your arrows exactly?

I saw an article about a few Oblivion glitches (with the dupe arrow in-cluded) but it didn't explain it enough for me.
