Ok i have a quick question. i looked around a bit and could seems to find away to fix the issue i have currently.

the issue is a friend of mine screwed up his softmod like i told him he would now his xbox gives error 16 which i knows has to do with the clock. the problem is how can i fix this without have his eeprom etc cuz he never backed it up. I know i can fix this with i chip no problem but is there i way which wont cost money.

I do have a modded xbox and tried to hotswap but I always get error 6. I also have mechassualt and a memcard.

so is there anything i can do or should i just install a chip??????

you can ofcourse hotswap. There are tutorials/faqs/guides you know. Try reading them before posting
