Hello, I was wondering if i could somehow transfer the drivers from my 2wire wireless usb adapter so it would work on the 360. I really dont feel like paying $100.00 for the official one.I was thinking maybe it would be cheaper to buy a bridge and use an ethernet cord. Any thoughts

I have an ebook that describes how to connect to xbox live through a wireless enabled laptop or desktop, i use this method and it basically means i have my laptop beside the 360 streaming media centre and allowing me to use live wirelessly at same time. If anyone is interested i will have a look on the laptop for it an can send it via email for free.

I am using Asus WL-500GX as the wireless router. So bought a small wireless access point Asus WL-530g and setup the WDS (Wireless bridge). The WL-530g has 4 ethernet port so that you can connect to 4 device with ethernet port (for me, it's xbox, xbox360, PS2 and a computer near my TV) and link to the wireless router that accessing internet. You can check the size of WL-530g is very small, and the price if only half of the xbox offical adaptor. The down side is that you need a power adaptor for it.

But the upside, (if your like me, i use a wrt54g for the same function) is that I have my xbox, xbox 360, and tivo all hooked up there to that box. Would need many more network adapters to make all that work seperatly

turn your caps lock off, its a pain in the ass to read, and any wireless bridge/wireless access point will work as long as it connects to the xbox through ethernet (aka nothing USB will work)

I have my PC upstairs connected to my DSL modem and a Linksys wireless router. I bought a linksys wireless G and I'm trying to get it to work with my 360 that is located in the basement...does anyone have step-by-step instructions...I can't get my 360 to find the wireless connection. Thanks in advance.

You need a wireless router and a Laptop to do this...

1. Get an ethernet cable running from your xbox 360 ethernet port to your laptop ethernet port
2. go to start-->settings--->control panel-->network and internet connections and then click internet connections at the bottom
3. Locate the correct Local Area Connection that the ethernet from your 360 to your pc is in and bridge this connection w/ the wireless

thats it... u should be able to have wireless now.. only downside is you need to have your 360 plugged into your laptop while using this.. but if you can afford the $100 adpater.. (much less on ebay) it might be worth it smile.gif

This works awesome I had it laying around the house and figured i'd try it and it works great. The adapter handles the wireless signal so no software is needed and the Xbox 360 sees it as a wired connection. I reccomend this as an alternative to paying the $80-$100 for the M$ one.
