I am wanting to flash a DuoX 2 Cromwell Edition in a 1.6b Xbox so I got the Yoshihiro-m8-1.6B-Memory-Fixe-Beta4 bios. Since the DuoX 2 needs a 512k bios I used EVtool to resize the bios from 228k to 512k (opened the program, selected the 512k, clicked the size button, found my original bios then saved the 512k one). So did I do this right?

Also do I need to rename the file Bios.bin for it to work and can I ftp it to my xbox?

By the way, you guys have been great with help and I really appreciate it.

1) With that chip you cannot FTP without a hacked BIOS flashed. You can, however, flash via HTTP.

2) Any reason you're using a beta bios, and for that matter, NOT a decent bios like the x2.5035 bios (one that has better than half-assed IGR unlike the Evox bioses)?

Ok so I wont use the bios I was going to. Thanks for saving me on that, Im really new to all this. So if I get the x2.5035 bios how would I flash via HTTP?

Also, was the way I made that bios bigger the right way or not?

For an Evox bios, not bad. But for an x2 bios, you'd want to use X2BiosManger.

However, x2.5035 is already 512kb so you won't have to worry about that.

To flash via HTTP, do this: http://www.team-xecuter.com/flashbios/http.htm (the images don't work, but the text is spot on)

You can name the bios whatever you want in this case:
