What Are The Max And Average Temp's Of The Xbox Cpu? Options

I just got a new xbox (v1.6/v1.6b) which I softmodded and well I was wondering as to what the max and average temp are for the xbox.

After about 1 hour of playing mine was at 55C. What is the maximum a xbox can take, and does it automatically shutdown if it reaches that?

And what's about average?

after hours of playing halo or whatever i feel like mine only gets to 99 f i dont know what that is c but all i did was cut and strip the ground on the stock fan and soldered it onto the shielding

its loud but it runs cool

Yeah but that's way to loud for me. I once made the fan run at 100% and it was SOOO freaking loud.

And do you know what the max is that the xbox can take? And does it automatically shutdown if it reaches that?

Oh and I know that you can set the FAN speed in like XBMC etc, but does the xbox do it on it's own while f.e. playing a game (or a non-modded xbox)?

Im getting kinda of sick of these threads asking what the normal temperature is for an xbox, or what is the maximum temp. I swear ive seen atleast 10 in the last week. A normal temp is 120-135 degrees F. The xbox will auto shut down at 160 degrees F. But since the temperature sensors on the 1.6 xbox's never seem to work right I dont think they shut down when they get to hot. No the box does not have auto temperature control when it is running stock.

I believe the Xbox shuts down at 70*C (158*F)

Mine usually runs in the 35*C-45*C range, Arctic Silver 5 on the 'sinks, XBMC with fan speed at 40%
