HOLY FUCK THAT IS THE BEST XBOX I'VE EVER SEEN! blink.gif

Looks wise, i've seen prettier ones but overall design, originality, craftsmanship and usefulness (nice retro controller vga mod), this one takes the cake.

Can you hook me up with a guide on how to install component video outputs?

this is insane, i am going to do this..

1.now i have a question, is there a way to run the vga cable to a female nes, snes, genesis original system controller port?

this would avoid putting vga adapters on the controller, and allow any old controller to plug right into its original system port.

i have multiple systems that i would gut for this with no problem.

id like to have a box with all console female controller ports on it.

2. now if its possible, can you have multiple controller ports soldered to one controller? i assume so.

does anyone know where i can get the vga cables to do this mod?

all newer cables only have 7 cables, so the mod is impossible to even do a minimum 8 wire req for the nes controller

i keep cutting up vga cables in hope of finding the extra wires but nothing

i may end up just using cat5 cable which has 8 wires, to at least be able to use the nes controller.

I did this mod about a month ago and I found the best place for cables was amazon. I just searched for DB15 cables to do NES, SNES, Sega controllers and the DB25 cable to do the N64 and PSX controller. I have only done two NES controllers, two Sega controllers and one N64 controller so far due to time constraints.

is the db15 wire off amazon flexible?
Meaning, can i wrap it around the controller?

do you have a link to the n64 and psx controller?

HERE is the page I used for the N64 controller. If you look at the page the cord is wrapped in a circle by itself. The DB15 is more flexible than the DB25 for sure but I still don't wrap it around the controller. And it definitely isn't as easy to wrap around the controller like normal controller cables. I like the wrap the cord around itself like the picture because the cord doesn't really hold any shape it is wrapped into so it straightens out real easy.

that N64 controller seems to be alot of work.
how does it handle?

i think i will just stick to the classic controls for now at least.

Yeah the link I posted was mostly for the thumb stick and I think I followed other links in that thread for the buttons but the buttons are easy its the thumb stick getting it to fit but the controller handles nice when done well worth the work on the thumb stick. Here is a picture of mine.

ok cool, so its just swapping the thumbstick pad.
i can probably shave off the thumbstick or drill out the controller to make one fit.

i was gonna ask why your start button was depressed, then i just realized that that controller is hollow, and the buttons are just sitting there.

i just completed my duke and snes controller.
they work great.

i found a controller test program too, its great for this mod.
